Written Declaration - Animal Welfare
This was the first written declaration Caroline sponsored after her election to the European Parliament in 1999. It called on the European Commission to seek World Trade Organisation reforms that would allow trade rules to promote animal protection. Over 100 MEPs supported the declaration but not enough to lead to its formal adoption.
