Plenary - Treatment of Prisoners Overseas
John Packwood, a yachtsman from the Isle of Wight, was arrested in Spain before being extradited to Morocco in connection with drugs smuggling. In fact the charges were proved to be false and Caroline joined forces with other political representatives to secure John’s release. He was granted a King’s pardon in 2005 and returned safely to his family.
