Caroline Lucas has worked hard to ensure that farmers and consumers can enjoy a better agricultural system. She has presented proposals on how to radically reform the Common Agricultural Policy, promoted a ban on GM food and crops and supported environmentally friendly and organic farming. As a member of the European Parliament’s Environment and Consumer Protection Committee, Caroline has worked for local food economies, fair prices for farmers and strong controls on supermarkets.
