Transport and Aviation

Transport and aviation are a specific focus for Caroline Lucas and she promotes a transport system that serves the needs of local communities without destroying our health or the environment. She has worked hard to defend public ownership of railways and to support positive alternatives to travel by car. Caroline’s campaigns also include a ban on night flights and calling for the aviation industry to pay the true environmental and social costs of flying. She has opposed the expansion of airports in London and the South East and led work in the European Parliament to curb the impact of aviation on climate change.

Below you can read more about her achievements in the European Parliament, press releases and correspondence on transport matters.
