VACANCY - PARLIAMENTARY ASSISTANT/RESEARCHER
Caroline Lucas MEP is looking for a highly capable, motivated individual with a strong interest in green issues and experience in EU policy-making to lead her work at the European Parliament in Brussels.
JOB TITLE - Parliamentary Assistant/Researcher
JOB OVERVIEW - To manage the practical and political aspects of the parliamentary work of the South East Green MEP
REPORTING - To the Green Party MEP or, in their absence, a delegated member of the Green Euro Trust
BASED - Brussels
HOURS - 35 per week, including some unsociable hours
CONTRACT & SALARY - To end July 2014 (subject to probationary period). The successful candidate will be employed directly by the European Parliament (EP). Pay will be on pay band 1-4 (23,630 - 30,866 euros including expatriation allowance if applicable) dependent on experience. Household and child allowances paid extra as applicable under EP regulations.

Are you organised, hard working and an excellent communicator?
Are you available for a period of several months from September 2009?
Caroline is looking for a stagiaire to play an active role in the workings of her Brussels office in the European Parliament. Being a stagiaire is hard work but an excellent way to experience and contribue to Green politics in action, as well as gain an insight into the workings of the European institutions.
The successful candidate will receive a living allowance of £1000 per month.
